Any college student will agree, there is nothing better than receiving mail, especially when it’s a Valentine’s Day Care Package. As a college student, it was exciting to get a notice that there was a package waiting for pick up. My mom would send a big box full of junk food, homemade treats, photos along with a letter. It was the best to receive a big package of love so unexpectedly. Back in the day, letters were more common than phone calls. I looked forward to the mail daily, receiving a box was something so special.
Times have changed as I talk to the kids daily, if not twice a day. Even though cell phones make it easier to stay in touch these days, mail is still fun to open. Sending our kids a fun Valentine’s Day care package, because I know it will make their day, fills my cup.
This post is about the Valentine’s Day Care Package I made and sent our kids
This Valentine’s Day Care Package is the box of love that I mailed to our college kids to surprise them. To make the box more special, added wrapping paper to the flaps. I measured the flaps, cut wrapping paper to fit and used double stick tape to attach the pieces. Even though the box already looked festive, I created a couple cute signs to add in. I also folded some heart themed tissue paper to add more cuteness to the box.

HOMEMADE TREATS FOR VALENTINE’S DAY CARE PACKAGE

Lots of planning and love was put into this Valentine’s Day care package because I wanted to send something really special. This care package started with a plan to send treats, although it evolved with much more. Treats included frosted sugar cookies, peanut butter blossoms and Rolo pretzels.

I placed the goodies into containers with pink lids because they matched the theme. CLICK HERE to see my post on easy-to-make Valentines Day treats. These were the perfect addition to their Valentine’s Day care packages.
