If you’re looking for some quick and simple St. Patrick’s Day treats to make, these are some of my favorite go-to ideas. Not only are these St. Patrick’s Day goodies delicious, but they are fun and super easy to make. Each of these treats can be made for almost any occasion or holiday. These are festive and a family favorite.
This post is all about how I take shortcuts to make some quick and easy St. Patrick’s Day Treats.

Bake Up a Batch of Good Luck with Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Dough
Last month I shared my pre-made dough secret for my Valentine’s Day Cookies and I’m back at it again. Even though these are not the cut out cookies my mom and grandma made, they are still really yummy. I have used the pre-made dough since the kids were little, mostly because of the mess. Cut-out cookies are still a treat for our college-age kids, so I made a plan to send care package.s After running out of time, I decided to buy the pre-made dough for my cut-out cookies again.

Wilton 8-Count Icing Colors for Cakes & Cupcakes, Gel-Based Colors for Frosting

Clover Cookie Cutter Set – 3 Piece – Stainless Steel

Sweet Tooth Fairy® Sanding Sugar, 5oz.
To make these St. Patrick’s Day Treats, you will need Shamrock shaped cookie cutters, a rolling pin and flour. You will need to buy Pillsbury Sugar cookie dough and frosting, I used Betty Crocker whipped, cream cheese frosting. I purchased the cookie dough and frosting from Target but they are available at most grocery stores. The Shamrock shaped cookie cutters and Wilton Food Coloring were purchased on Amazon.
1 | OPEN THE PACKAGE KNEAD THE DOUGH
Mix in some flour and knead the dough until it is not sticky. Add some flour to your surface and flatten the dough out with your hands. Use a rolling pin so the dough is flat enough to cut out the cookies.

2 | CUT OUT THE SHAMROCK SHAPED COOKIES
Carefully remove the Shamrocks from the dough and place on your cookie sheet.

3 | FOLLOW BAKING INSTRUCTIONS ON PACKAGE
Check on the cookies before the timer goes off so you don’t over-bake them. Remove from oven and cool.

4 | FROST THE ST. PATRICK’S DAY COOKIES
Scoop out some frosting and place into three bowls. Next, add the food coloring and mix well until you have your desired color. Betty Crocker Buttercream frosting is not only yummy, but much quicker than making it from scratch. Wilton Food Coloring has some beautiful, vibrant colors and you don’t need much to create a great color. I used a frosting tip to outline the cookies. Then I used a knife to spread the frosting onto the cookie. This St. Patrick’s Day treat is super simple and so yummy.

Peanut Butter Blossoms St. Patrick’s Day Treat
Not only are these one of the easiest cookies you can make, they are one of the yummiest. Keep reading as I share my second cookie making shortcut. I used Pillsbury Peanut Butter Cookie dough, Sweet Tooth Fairy Sanding Sugar and Hershey Kisses to make these.

The best thing about this pre-made dough is that it’s already cut into sections. This time, however, I thought it would be fun to add some color to the dough. To get a nice green color, I mixed the dough with some Wilton food coloring. If skipping the food color, take a square of dough, roll into a ball and coat with sugar.
1 | ROLL INTO BALLS
Add some of the sanding sugar to a bowl, then roll the little balls until they are coated.

2 | FOLLOW BAKING INSTRUCTIONS ON PACKAGE
Place on a cookie sheet and bake. Check on the cookies before the timer goes off. While the St. Patrick’s Day goodies are baking, unwrap the Hershey’s Kisses and set them aside. This takes more time than making the cookies.

3 | PRESS A KISS INTO THE CENTER OF EACH COOKIE
Take the cookies out of the oven. Let them sit for a minute, then gently press a chocolate heart into the center of each cookie. Such an easy, sweet and festive St. Patrick’s Day treat!

Pretzel Caramello St. Patrick’s Day Treats
All you need is a bag of square pretzels, some Rolo candy and green Milk Chocolate M&Ms.
1 | PLACE PRETZELS ON COOKIE SHEET
Unwrap the candy (I used Cadbury Caramellos and Rolos) and place one on the center of each pretzel.

2 | HEAT OVEN TO 200˚
Remove the St. Patrick’s Day goodies from the oven to cool for a few minutes.

3 | PLACE M&M INTO CENTER

All three of these simple treats can be made in a just few hours. I wrapped these St. Patrick’s Day sweets up and sent them off to our college kids. I added these treats to a special surprise care package. CLICK HERE to see the St. Patrick’s Day Care Package I put together for them.
