Bring some luck of the Irish into your home by creating a simple, beautiful St. Patrick’s Day deco mesh wreath. It’s a perfect addition to your St. Patrick’s Day Decor. Not only is this wreath gorgeous, it is very simple and fun to make.
This festive, St. Patrick’s Day deco mesh wreath will give your friends and family a big Irish welcome. All supplies to make this beautiful deco mesh wreath were, nonetheless, purchased at our local Dollar Store.
This post is about how to make a St. Patrick’s Day deco mesh wreath.

1 | Gather your Supplies
To make this wreath, you will need to purchase six 6″ rolls of deco mesh, chenille stems and a 14″ wreath base. Surprisingly, I bought all of the wreath supplies at the Dollar Store. You will also need a rotary cutter, some craft clips, a self healing mat and a glue gun.

2 | Cut the Chenille Stems
I bought some green chenille stems because I used different shades of green in my St. Patrick’s Day deco mesh wreath. Bend some of the chenille stems in half, cut and then set aside.

3 | Measure and Cut your Deco Mesh
Next, unroll your deco mesh onto your cutting mat, measure approximately 22″ and cut the strips. I cut three strips at one time by placing each roll on top of each other to save some time. You should get between seven and eight strips per roll. Some of my rolls seemed to have more mesh than others. After cutting all the strips, I set the them aside in piles per color. This will make the assembly part of your St. Patrick’s Day deco mesh wreath much easier.

4 | Create a Little Curl and Secure With a Clip
Lay a strip of Deco Mesh onto your cutting mat, curl side up. Take one end and roll into a small curl, then secure roll with a clip to hold in place.

5 | Flip to Opposite End and Create another Curl
Flip the deco mesh around with the clip at the top and then roll the opposite side into a curl. Walk your fingers up the center of the deco mesh to the clipped end to create a ruffle. Each strip is a ruffle with a loop at each end.

6 | Secure Ruffle With a Chenille Stem
Bend a chenille stem over the center of the mesh and twist the stem to secure. You have created your first ruffle bow-tie to assemble onto your St. Patrick’s Day deco mesh wreath base.

7 | Alternate Tying to the Two Center Rows
Start by tying your first color to the third middle section, then anchor to the edge of each section. Alternate every three colors between the second and third rows. I ended up with about eight mesh ruffles in each section.

8 | Add Eight Ruffles to Each Section of Your St. Patrick’s Day Deco Mesh Wreath Base
Continue with eight little ruffles per section, alternating every three colors. I used a dark and bright green as well as white to create my pattern. Secure all ruffles to your wreath, then trim off the excess chenille stems.

9 | Add a Shamrock to the Center of Your St. Patrick’s Day Deco Mesh Wreath
To make this wreath even more festive, I added a sparkly Shamrock to the center. I found this glitter shamrock at the Dollar Store and used my glue gun to secure it to the mesh.

This deco mesh wreath was so easy and it turned out way better than I thought it would. This beautiful St. Patrick’s Day Deco Mesh Wreath matches the rest of my decor perfectly. In fact, I’m excited to make my next deco mesh wreath to match my Easter decorations.
