No matter what holiday is coming up, I love buying simple holiday decorations. Creating a festive ambiance is easy, just add holiday colors to your decor. I hope this post inspires you to add some simple and colorful Easter decor to your home this year.
This post is all about my quick, easy and inexpensive Easter decor.

1 | Colorful Table Top Easter Decorations
After putting away the St. Patrick’s Day decorations, I couldn’t wait to put out my colorful Easter decor. The pastel table runner bought at Hobby Lobby was used to anchor my colorful table top Easter Decor. I placed pretty velvet eggs on the tops of my candle holders, instead of candles. The flower vase full of Peeps was quick and easy to make, not to mention, adorable. Artificial flowers that match the Peeps was the finishing touch.

2 | DIY Easter Decor Peep Vase Centerpiece
This Peep centerpiece is sure to brighten up your table. You’ll need two different size vases, and you’re in luck, because Michael’s® sells the perfect vases for this project. You will need five packages of Peeps, I bought them at Target. Just arrange each layer of Peeps until you reach the top, then slide in the more slender vase. Michael’s® also had the perfect colors of artificial flowers to set in the vase.

3 | Brighten Up Your Mantel with Beautiful Easter Decor
Small command hooks attached to the top of the mantel hold the garland in place. Centering the EASTER Sign between the two egg flower pots not only created balance but simple decor. I love how this Easter decor gives off spring vibes.

4 | Hang Spring theme Flowers on Your Railing
The Easter aisle at Hobby Lobby was blooming with color. I absolutely love the mesh flowers I found because they matched all the Easter decor I already have. These simple flowers added to the railing helped to bring spring inside.

5 | Create a Pastel Easter deco Mesh Wreath
This is the second mesh wreath I have made, the pastel colors are beautiful. Not only was this fun to create, it cost me less than $10 to make. All of the supplies used were inexpensive, because they were purchased at the Dollar Store. CLICK HERE to see step-by-step instructions on how I created this beautiful, Easter egg mesh wreath.

6 | Easter Theme Throw Pillows
An easy way to decorate for any holiday is to swap out your throw pillows. Use pillows that match the current holiday theme. I found these darling Easter pillows at Michael’s®. I just knew I would find something great because Michael’s® has best holiday decor.

7 | Peeps and Eggs Add Fun to Your Easter Decor
Kohl’s® also has a lot of really great Easter decor. Everyone loves Peeps, they were so inexpensive and darling, I couldn’t resist, plus I had a 30% off coupon. I placed them on our end tables, bookshelves and kitchen. Hobby Lobby also had dish towels that matched our table runner, they added some Easter color to the kitchen.
I like to keep the holiday decor I swap out similar, because set up and take down is easy. Check out my VALENTINE’S DAY and ST. PATRICK’S DAY DECOR posts, since they are very similar. Swapping out very similar decor makes decorating for holidays a breeze.

CELEBRATING EASTER
Easter is a Christian holiday. It marks the last day of the Holy Week and celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Palm Sunday commemorate Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem where he was greeted with crowds waving palm branches and begins Holy Week. Maundy Thursday observes the Last Supper. Jesus washed the feet of his disciples as an act of service on the night of his arrest. Good Friday observes Jesus’ trial before Pontius Pilate, his sentence of death, torture, crucifixion and burial. Easter Sunday observes the resurrection of Jesus and the promise of eternal life.
Easter eggs are said to represent Jesus’ emergence from the tomb and resurrection. Eggs were a forbidden food during Lent. People would paint them to mark the end of fasting. Then, as a celebration, they would eat them on Easter. Easter Lilies symbolize the rebirth and hope of Christ’s resurrection. Rabbits are a symbol of fertility and new life. The Easter bunny’s connection with these themes aligns with the observance of Easter.
